Meet Laverne and Shirley, two 1 ˝ - 2 year old female calico cats,
who were abandoned together in an apartment building. A good
Samaritan found them, contacted the Minnesota Humane Society, and
agreed to bring them to one of the veterinary clinics we work with.
Both cats were spayed and received all necessary vaccinations.
Shirley’s rear leg had been previously broken in several places and
surgically repaired with a brace. She was still wearing the brace,
though it should have been removed six to eight months earlier. The
brace was surgically removed and once Shirley had recuperated, both
were transferred to a no-kill organization where they were quickly
adopted into their forever home.
