Stella, a tuxedo cat, came to the Minnesota Humane Society as a
stray found by the “proverbial little old lady.” She called the
Minnesota Humane Society and we agreed to take the cat.
Unfortunately, this elderly woman was a bit confused and wound up
taking Stella into the Minneapolis pound. After the Minnesota
Humane Society bailed Stella out of the pound, we searched for a new
home for her. One of our volunteers agreed to take her as a
companion for her cat, also a former stray. Stella then went to the
vet to have her wounded paw treated and it was discovered that most
of her teeth were missing; but that hasn’t stopped her from enjoying
a variety of cat foods. She now rules the roost.
